This Wedding Party was a great example of how to maximise and enjoy your wedding for the whole weekend!
The Wedding Party began when Lorna & Lee exchanged vows at St Mary’s Church in Breamore on Friday 17th March. After the ceremony they headed back to the Legacy Rose & Crown in Salisbury for an intimate family reception. On Saturday 18th they continued the celebration with a party to remember, here at Larmer Tree.
The Victorian Jubilee Hall was tastefully decorated with hanging pom poms, wicker hearts and lanterns. A beautiful wishing well was provided for guests to leave cards and gifts. The floral arrangements were brought from Friday’s ceremony to enhance the room. Lorna & Lee redressed in their wedding outfits for the occasion and welcomed guests with an informal reception. A perfectly relaxed way to start the evening and mingle with their guests.
Centre stage was a beautiful four tiered cake, made by a friend. She had dressed it with blue and silver ribbon and topped with delicately iced flowers – it was delicious! The happy couple performed their first dance to Tom ODell, then DJ Nick Snook from Essential Roadshow turned up the music and the dancing began. After a blustery start, Craig’s illuminated LOVE Letters sat majestically across the Jubilee Lawn for all to see and Jodie at Photography Wishes was there to capture the fun.
Although it was a chilly evening, children and those young at heart kept warm by toasting marshmallows around the fire pits on the bar terrace.
With the formalities of the weekend complete, the happy couple and parents could let their hair down – and that they did! They danced the night away, only leaving the floor briefly to sample a delicious cheese supper provided by our fantastic caterers Forking Out and to have a drink or two, of course.
What a great wedding party and a fabulous evening was had by all.
