FEBRUARY

Ghost Stories By Candle Light

On Friday February 16th, experience a performance by the amazing Robert Lloyd Parry, when he retells two classic ghost stories by M.R James.  This annual event takes places in the atmospheric Victorian Jubilee Hall, by candlelight.  Presented by Sweet Track Events, this marvelous evening begins a year of outstanding entertainment on offer to all.

Larmer Tree Races

During the weekend of Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th March, five extraordinary races take place around the Rushmore Estate.  Organised by White Star Running, there’s a choice of 10 miles, half marathon, 20 miles, marathon or the exciting and potentially scary 10k Dark Larmer all starting and finishing at Larmer Tree.

APRIL

Garden & Café Open

Easter Sunday 1st April the Larmer Tree Gardens and Coffee Grove Café open for the season.  Come and visit Sunday to Thursday 11am to 4.30pm.  Please note we are always closed on Fridays and Saturdays as these days are devoted to weddings and private events.  Do check the calendar for other occasional closures before you leave home.

Easter Trail

Join us on Easter Monday 2nd April for a family fun day out in the garden.  The children will love following the trail set out by the white rabbit.  Tickets on sale very soon.

Wedding Fair

Meet the team, together with a selection of recommended suppliers at the Larmer Tree Wedding Fair on Sunday 15th April.  Free entry for all.

MAY

Vintage Brocante

Visit the Vintage Brocante on Sunday 6th and Bank Holiday Monday 7th May.  There is a superb collection of sellers with a huge range of decorative, vintage brocante, fabrics, gifts and furniture, together with music and food.

 

Music From The Singing Theatre

As a tradition, on Bank Holiday Monday 28th May there will be musical entertainment on offer during the afternoon.

JUNE

The HandleBards

The girls troupe will be performing Romeo & Juliet in the garden at 5.30pm, on Sunday 24th June. Grab a deckchair, bring a picnic, relax and enjoy Shakespeare with a twist.

JULY

Julia’s House: The Big Ride

Sunday 8th July, this is the last day the garden will be open before the Larmer Tree Festival moves on site.  We are delighted to be hosting this amazing local charity’s major fundraising cycle ride.  Starting and finishing at Larmer Tree, there is a choice of routes, 50 miles or 100 miles.  Cycle the stunning Wiltshire/Dorset countryside whilst raising much needed funds for Julia’s House.

Returning after a year off, Larmer Tree Festival takes place on 19th to 22nd July.

The gardens are then closed from 9th July to 4th August.

AUGUST

Garden & Café Open

Open from Sunday 5th to Sunday 19th August, Sunday to Thursday 11am to 4.30pm, then closed from 20th August to 15th September whilst the End Of The Road Festival is on site.

Vintage Brocante

As a follow on from the festive fun of the Christmas Fair, this year it’s the turn of the Vintage Brocante.  Open Friday 30th November and Saturday 1st December, for seasonal vintage delights.
